Capcom Announces Phoenix Wright Collection for iOS

According to the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Capcom has announced that they're bringing a collection of the first three games in the Phoenix Wright series to iOS. The app, called Ace Attorney 123 HD Phoenix Wright Collection, will feature revamped art and will be available as a free download.

But since this is no pro bono case, the initial download only gets you two chapters of the first game. To unlock the rest, you'll have to pay somewhere in the vicinity of $6.99 per game. The collection has only been announced for Japan so far, but it's a safe bet that it will hit the rest of the world as well. Capcom hasn't announced a release date yet, but has said it's coming "soon."
The Phoenix Wright games date back to 2001, when the original title was released in Japan for Gameboy Advance. U.S. gamers will be more familiar with revamped ports for the Nintendo DS that were released starting in 2005. And if you're aching to play Phoenix Wright on iOS, you can already download the first game, which was released for iOS in 2010.
