Amazon Kindle is UK's most unused Christmas present

Amazon Kindle is UK's most unused Christmas present
The Amazon Kindle may have topped the sales charts in the UK this Christmas, but it now heads up an entirely new, but not as renowned list. As well as being the Brits' most sought after Chrimbo present, it's also the most unused.
A survey conducted by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk claims that 48 per cent of Brits received presents for Christmas 2011 that they are still yet to use. And of those, the Kindle comes out on top. 22 per cent of those respondents admitted to not switching their new ebook reader on yet, with 53 per cent of them citing the fact that they hadn't downloaded any books to date as the reason.
The iPad is also mentioned: 9 per cent of respondents claim that they are yet to use their new device because they "haven't gotten round to it" or because "it isn't fully charged". While 14 per cent state that they haven't used their new MP3 player yet.
Mark Pearson, CEO of MyVoucherCodes, states: "It is surprising to see how many people have not used gifts they received almost one month ago; but I think we are all guilty of putting gifts to one side now and again. It is likely that these gifts will be used eventually, perhaps when the owners get a chance to download books or music, but I must admit it’s difficult to find a reason for people having not charged iPads!"
We say: "Ungrateful gits!"
