Attention New Yorkers: J&R Launches iPad, iPhone, and iPod Trade and Save Program

If you live in New York, there’s a good chance you’ve been to the J&R storefront on Park Row. Even if you don’t live in NY, you’ve likely purchased from the website, which has become a leading consumer electronics site.
Today J&R and partner NextWorth, a leader in upgrades and trade-ins, have announced a brand new J&R electronics trade-in and save service, which is available in the store and online just in time for the holidays.
The program is powered by NextWorth and it aims to help customers save money when upgrading to new electronics by trading in old items to earn store credit. J&R is accepting cell phones, iPhones, iPads, iPods, digital cameras, tablets, e-readers, Nintendo DS units, and old video games.
Consumers can receive up to $350 for an iPad 2, up to $180 for an iPhone 4, or up to $115 for an iPod Touch. Naturally these prices aren’t as great as what you could get selling individually on Craigslist, but it is hassle-free and easy.
Online consumers can trade-in an even wider range of products at the J&R website, including laptops, game consoles, and GPS devices, in addition to all of the options available in-store.
When submitting a product online, customers will be prompted to answer a few questions about the device and will be given an estimated trade-in value. J&R provides a free, fully insured UPS shipping label, and when the product is received and the value confirmed, J&R sends out a gift card.
To check out what you can trade in and how much you’ll get, head on over to the J&R website.
