TrafficVille HD, a Neat Traffic Control Game for the iPad

Those who love to control the lives of others through simulation games will get a kick out of TrafficVille HD. While similar to other traffic control games, like Traffic Rush, this game takes it to a whole new level by requiring the player to keep track of traffic lights instead of just flicking cars through the intersection. Keep track of the cars, though. Eventually, the lights will change automatically and avoiding a crash becomes nearly impossible.
The screen shows a top-down view of a busy intersection. Tap the light to make it turn from red to green and back to red. There are also commuter trains to keep track of. The traffic coming from the left and right have turn lanes, so the green lights must be timed accordingly. As the game plays on, the lights will eventually be set to timers. Whether you are ready for them or not, they will change on their own every seven seconds.

TrafficVille HD takes the traditional traffic control game style and adds a fun spin. Maintaining lights instead of just stopping and starting cars created a difficulty level that really causes chaos. Only those who work well under extreme pressure will be able to succeed.
What I liked: I liked the chaos of dealing with six different traffic lights (including the two commuter trains). The addition of a left-turn lane really makes for a smashing good time.
What I didn’t like: The view is always the same. It would be nice if the intersection would change every time you started a new game, just for variety.
To buy or not to buy: Absolutely. TrafficVille HD is universal and only $0.99. Fans of traffic control games will love this.
