Miss Out on Black Friday Savings? Get a Great Deal on Refurbished Apple Products Instead
Do you like this story?
Apple had some great discounts this weekend on iPads, Macs, and iPods, but unfortunately, Apple’s deals were one day only. If you missed out on saving some cash on an Apple purchase, don’t worry, because there are still some bargains to be had.
As you may or may not know, Apple has a refurbished section on its website, offering many different Apple products at lowered prices. If you’re worried about buying a refurbished product, remember that Apple techs have personally repaired items and given them new batteries, new outer shells, and equipped all products with a 1-year warranty.
So what are the deals? Well, in the iPad section, you can snag an original iPad with 3G for just $399, which is $230 off the retail price, or an iPad 2 16GB WiFi (in both black and white) for $449, for a $50 savings. That’s even better than the black friday deal! There are other models available as well, with a consistent $50 off for the iPad 2s, and a $230 discount on the original iPads.
In the Mac section you can snag some pretty good deals on Apple’s hottest laptop – the MacBook Air. A late 2010 base model 11.6 inch will run you just $699, while the late 2010 base model 13.3 inch is available for $899. That’s $300 off the retail price. As with the iPads, there are several different models from as early as 2009 available. There are also some great deals on MacBook Pros as well, with up to $580 off.
As far as iMacs go, you can get a 27 inch 3.1 GHz Core i5 from May 2011 for just $1659, which is $340 off of the original retail price. The 3.4 Ghz Core i7 version is just a bit more, at $1869. There are some great systems available, and they’re up-to-date too (May 2011 was the last refresh).
If it’s an iPod Nano, classic iPod, or iPod Touch you’re in the market for, there are discounts for those too. You can get a previous generation Nano for $20 off, a 160GB 2009 classic for $40 off, or a 2009 iPod Touch for $120 off.
As long as you don’t mind buying refurbished goods, you can get a great deal. If you want to check out all of Apple’s refurbished products, they can be found in the Special Deals section of the Apple Store website.
