Do you recall an earlier game Magic Academy? This is the prequel which means the origin of how it all came to be. It’s a ploy like Star Wars where there’s a second release that takes you back in time. At an rate, if you liked Magic Academy, this Magic Academy HD is going to answer a lot questions you may have.
The story opens with the girls, Annie and Irene as young children. Annie disappears while in Magic Academy and Irene has to find her.
The main attraction of this game is the element of surprise – which is what magic is all about. You will have hidden objects and mini arcade games to play. There are also puzzles with hints if you just want to fast forward the game. Who isn’t guilty of that? Rating this game is difficult because it has answers but the game per se is not all that unique or challenging. It’s a nostalgia gimmick and uses black magic and sorcery to draw you in. Not exactly a game to be recommended for young, impressionable kids because they might turn to witchcraft. Anyway, it’s a little steep to download at $4.99.
