iPad 3 Makes Room as Parts Begin to Ship
The iPad 3 is making a spot for itself after there was some debate from sources claiming that lack of demand may have been attributed to Apple’s decision to cut some current orders of the iPad from its supply chain.According to Digitimes, parts for the iPad 3 have begun to ship (no surprise there), and that demand appears to be normal for Q4 2011. What caused some alarm was Apple’s decision, citing industry sources, to reduce iPad 2 orders by 25%. With the iPad 3 release date getting closer that’s a given; it’s time to start inching in development and full scale production of the refreshed iPad 3 tablet.

FPCB’s being manufactured for the iPad 3 have begun under sourcing from Career Technology, Flexium Interconnect and Sunflex Tech. The plants are essentially operating at full capacity, and thanks to increased orders from Apple, Ichia Technology broke through a new record for their revenues in August. It is clear that the iPad 3 parts have begun to ship but were still forecasted and on track for an early 2012 release date.
