iPad 3 and Nanosys QDEF Display Technology

iPad 3

We’re really hoping Nanosys partners with Apple and their iPad 3 because this new QDEF display is simply marvelous with extravagant rich colors never before seen. According to those who have seen this side by side with current displays; QDEF makes your iPad 2 screen look dingy and meek.
Nanosys currently owns 400 patents on the display for QDEF; or Quantum Dot Enhanced Film. The only true way to experience these displays is in person because viewing the difference online does not do it justice. After all you are trying to compare the difference in a screen while viewing it through your own computers sub-par screen. But, we’ve included a video for you anyway to see just what we’re talking about.

The Positives of Apple’s iPad 3 and QDEF

Once this screen hits the market and starts partnering up with the big name companies and hopefully the iPad 3 (fingers crossed) it will change the quest for vivid display frenzies forever. Okay so you are probably wondering how this technology will affect the iPad 3 should it be cozy’d into its sleek frame right?
QDEF can bring its stunning display without consuming more battery life, it will not increase costs associated with tech products, nor will it need a quad-core or other beefy processor. Nanosys already has some big investors behind them and since they own all the patents they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. This is history in the making and they have really landed something big here.

QDEF Time Frame Aligns with iPad 3 Making it Feasible

The technology is as easy as integrating one component for superior colors not yet achieved. According to CEO Jason Hartlove (Nanosys), manufacturers can even begin using this technology right away by simply replacing a piece of film currently in LCD production and switching to blue LED backlighting. I don’t know about you but I say full speed ahead; I’m already convinced!
Nanosys hopes to have QDEF in the public’s hands by the end of this year, which means if the iPad 3 is released in early 2012 then it would certainly be possible to work up a relationship between the two companies. At the end of the day a display like this is what will set the iPad 3 on a gold platter.
