iPad 3 Rumors: Sony 8MP Camera & The iPad 3
Do you like this story?
Sony 8MP camera and the iPad 3/iPhone 5 has the web buzzing
The CEO of Sony, Sir Howard Stringer, let some news out that he would be working with Apple to develop a vastly improved camera for their devices. Our speculations here at ipad3newsblog held true about shortages of output coming from Japanese factories after last month’s devastating tsunami.
Stringer said that any manufacturer who sourced sensors or lenses from the affected factories in Japan could expect a delay.
This is the very reason why there’s a possibility that some of Apple’s notorious release schedules may be altered; whether some are intentional, or completely out of Apple’s control altogether.
Sony 8MP Camera
Stringer commented that up until now Apple has not had any Sony sensors in any of their devices. We hope this camera finds its way into the iPad 3 as well as the iPhone 5. Recent reports state that Apple has dropped their current supplier for the iPhone 5 and will be using this Sony camera in the next generation iPhone. The buzz around the web is predicting an 8MP camera that is supposedly going to be the best cameras out there for such devices. This would be a fantastic overhaul considering current criticisms of the iPad 2′s less than spectacular cameras (quoted by recent owners).
These camera components, after complaints about the iPad 2, will undoubtedly find themselves a home inside the iPad 3.
If you’re anxiously awaiting the iPhone 5, we believe you can pretty much guarantee that this is where you will get your first look at the new Sony camera that will be used in future Apple devices
