Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook concept pictures and hands-on

Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook concept pictures and hands-on. Laptops, Toshiba, Ultrabooks, CES2012, Hardware 0
Toshiba already has an Ultrabook; the Toshiba Portege Z830, but that didn't stop the Japanese company from showing off a second model at CES in Las Vegas this year.
Currently billed as a concept rather than a finished product, the "14-inch Ultrabook Design" stands out from the Portege model already on sale because it comes with the company's Satellite badge.
Talking to a spokeswoman for the company, Toshiba confirmed to Pocket-lint that the model, if it was to go on sale, would offer a "more affordable" Ultrabook that the one it already sells.
According to the accompanying specs on the stand the new Satellite Ultrabook would feature a 14-inch HD TruBrite display, a sleek, lightweight design with an aluminium finish. It would also feature Toshiba's Hi-Speed Start technology as well as Intel's Rapid Start technology. Users would also get USB sleep and charge.
Ports spotted down the sides of the laptop include HDMI, Thunderbolt, an SD card reader, Ethernet and, of course, USB.
No word on when the new laptop might be on sale but if we hear anything, we'll let you know.
