Sony Tablet S price slashed in the US

Over in the land of the free Sony has decided to lop off a fair chunk of the Sony Tablet S price tag, knocking $100 off of both the 16 and 32GB versions of its curvy slate.
The price cuts come in the face of increasing Android tablet competition across the pond. As well as the usual contenders such as Samsung and Motorola, Sony has had to go up against the Amazon Kindle Fire - a product the eretail giant recently declared the top selling, most gifted, and most wished for product across the millions of items available in its humongous online store before Christmas.
The Sony Tablet S has been met with mixed reviews since going live in October last year. Whilst there has been praise for its unique and quirky design there has been criticism for issues with connectivity and a supposed poor build-quality.
At the tail end of last year Sony cut $50 from the price of the 9.4-inch tab and this further shave indicates that the device isn't proving as hot a product as Sir Stringer and his pals would have hoped.
There's no sign of a further cut in the UK as of yet, the Tablet S currently retails for £349 or £429 depending on your 16/32GB preference; although these price-tags are lower than those originally announced by Dixons.
