Crayon Stylus Makes Using the iPad Fun

The iPad has been adopted by young children, and it’s not uncommon to see toddlers and pre-schoolers sporting their very own iPads. The tablet is a great educational tool, with a myriad of apps dedicated to early learning subjects. In fact, it’s even being adopted by schools, for use in classrooms with kids of all ages, kindergarten and up.
DANO Toys had young learners in mind when it developed its latest product, the AppCrayon classroom stylus. The AppCrayon, which was a favorite of Kindergarten teachers at a recent California conference, was designed with input from professional educators and beta-tested in classrooms.
The AppCrayon is an easy-to-hold crayon-shaped stylus with a triangle shape and a wide rubber control tip. The crayon can be paired with letter-writing, drawing, and note-taking apps, among others, to enhance the learning experience.

With the AppCrayon, even when using a touchscreen device, students can still develop important motor skills with the pencil-like stylus. These motor skills are important for learning to print, draw, and write in cursive.
DANO got the idea after developing its Little Sky Writers app. Parents were worried that their kids wouldn’t learn to write properly, and when DANO searched for a suitable stylus, there were none available, prompting the company to develop its own.

The stylus has been designed to be safe and comfortable for kids’ use, and its triangle shape trains kids how to properly hold a writing utensil. The triangular rubber grip is so appealing that it’s even been adopted by a few adults. I know I’m intrigued by a crayon shaped stylus!
DANO’s AppCrayon is currently available for schools to purchase at educational pricing, and will be available for retail purchase later this year. For more information, visit the DANO website.
