Wikly Review

There were a few problems that made my experience with Wikly less than perfect. Sometimes, when I switched between weeks, the app disregards the start and end time settings I made for the timeline (I set it to start at 7AM and end at 12AM). The app would stretch to about 1AM to 12AM. I found the resizing a little annoying and couldn’t get it back to my settings without restarting the app. Also, while it’s great that the events sync to the calendar app on the iPad, it also inherits a problem that bothers me with the iPad calendar app: multiple calendars. With the iPad calendar app, a new calendar can’t be added without the help of a computer calendar program (iCal/Outlook/etc). For someone who only uses mobile calendar applications like me (iPad and iPhone), it leaves me dependent on my computer for adding new calendars when I otherwise wouldn’t need it.
Despite the few problems I had, Wikly is well worth the $1.99 for anyone who prefers a weekly calendar.
