HTC Flyer price slashed to £200, PlayBook just £169

HTC Flyer price slashed to £200, PlayBook just £169. Tablets, HTC, RIM, BlackBerry, BlackBerry PlayBook, HTC Flyer, Motorola, Motorola Xoom 0
Didn't fancy paying £479.99 for the HTC Flyer, HTC's 7-inch pen-touting Android tablet, when it first launched in May? Well now you don't have to thanks to Dixons.
The online gadget store is selling the 16GB Wi-Fi HTC Flyer for £199.99 as the price of the uber-expensive tablet has crashed in just 7 months.
If you've got £50 more you'll be able to buy the 3G 32GB version. Dixons is pricing it at just £250. When it launched it would have set you back £599.99.
Likely to sweeten the deal even further, HTC announced that it was rolling out Honeycomb to the HTC Flyer earlier in the month. That makes it a far better offering than the cheaper alternatives from ViewSonic or Archos that run Gingerbread.
But the HTC Flyer isn't the only tablet the store is trying to off-load. The BlackBerry PlayBook, once £400 is now selling at Dixons and Carphone Warehouse for just £169.
Carphone Warehouse has also slashed the price of the Motorola Xoom from £479.99 to £319.99.
Meanwhile Apple's iPad remains at £399 and still flying off the shelves.
