Samsung Series 9 MacBook Air rival detailed

Samsung has announced a new slimline notebook over at CES - the 13-inch display Samsung ZX310.
Described by its maker as "featherweight" the ZX310 measures 16.3mm thick and weighs in at 1.31kg. The new MacBook Air is 17mm at its thickest, and weighs 1.3kg, so the comparison is obvious.
Packing a Sandy Bridge Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, and backed up with up to 8GB of RAM - the ZX310 certainly has the hardware to impress as well.
It features Samsung's Fast Start instant-on (12 second boot time, so very quick rather than instant we'd say) the machine has a battery that will last up to "three times longer than a typical notebook battery". Yep, that's pretty vague - a number would be nice.
There's a choice of either a 128GB or 256GB SSD on board, and you've also got a 1.3-megapixel webcam on the front.
It looks pretty swish, we have to admit, with a chassis made out of duralumin; a lightweight material that is twice as strong as aluminium and normally used in aircraft designs.
The display should be pretty good due to its SuperBright Plus 400nit brightness, vibrant colour reproduction (16 million colours) and Super Contrast ratio (1,300:1).
