Samsung NX11 hands-on
Do you like this story?
Following up from the Samsung NX10 – a mirrorless system “hybrid” camera that we were really impressed with, the biggest change in the NX11 is the inclusion of the i-Function lens compatibility.
The new model comes with a new position on the mode dial that ensures you make best use of the i-Function lens you have attached to the front. It was difficult to ascertain exactly how this worked without getting the camera out and about to take real photos with, but given the full range of auto, manual and everything inbetween controls, there is plenty of control on offer.
Otherwise the NX11 retains the compact design of the NX10, but still manages to pack in some of the elements missing from rival hybrid cameras. You get the pop-up flash, electronic viewfinder, a large 3-inch AMOLED display on the rear and hotshoe for attaching accessories.
The kit lens is an 18-55mm i-Function lens, and there are two new i-Function lenses, a 20mm pancake and a 20-50mm zoom lens. We managed to get our hands on all the new lenses, pictured below.
