Christmasville HD – Christmas Is Lost, Can You Find It?

Cookies are on the mantle, tinsel is on the tree. Children are tucked into their warm beds, but Santa has not been seen for days. Help Reindeer, Abominable Snowman and Elf discover clues to unlock the mystery of Santa’s disappearance by finding hidden objects among the clutter of life.
This high-definition Christmas themed hidden object game is an entertaining way to pass the holiday season. It is never too difficult, but it is always interesting.
There are at least four different hidden object puzzle types. For example, on one level, players must find objects that are listed by name on the left side of the screen. As the object is found, the word is removed from the list. On another level, players must find hidden objects by comparing a shape on the left side of the screen. The shape may be a vase, or a rope. Players must be able to figure out what the shape represents and then find it on the screen.

Another fun puzzle in this game is not a hidden object puzzle at all, but a word jumble. Santa may have left a note, but the letters are all scrambled and can’t be read. Unscramble the letters to see what Santa said in his last known note.
The visuals are crisp and clear and conjure up plenty of Christmas related memories. There are stockings, trees, presents, and all manner of cats hiding throughout each level. The characters in this game, Abominable Snowman, Elf, Reindeer and others all have a clever quip about them that adds to the entertainment of the game.

What I liked: My favorite part of the game was the word jumble. I think I just like that type of puzzle best. I also liked the fancy objects. There was a toy soldier that must have been real at one time, cats in boxes, and stuffed animals that made you just want to hug them.
What I didn’t like: I feel that the game is a tad bit pricey for being a casual game. It is creative and entertaining, but a stretch in the pocketbook at $4.99.
To buy or not to buy: Although it is a premium price to pay for a casual game, fans of hidden object games will enjoy this one, too.
