Samsung announces ten new camcorders

How many camcorder releases at once is too many? Obviously ten, as Samsung has chosen to announce the arrival of nine new models at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas.
This range features a long battery life, a 3-inch touch screen LCD, 30x optical zoom and is capable of shooting HD video at 1920 x 1080 60i or 1280 x 720 60p. The cameras can grab stills at 4.9-megapixels too.
The HMX-H300 series has a BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor, twice as sensitive as a regular CMOS sensors so it can reduce noise and image distortion in low-light condition
Next up are the 1080p shooting super-compact HMX-P300 and HMX-P100 models, which have "the latest developments in Samsung imaging technology, ultimately comprising some of the best value point-and-share camcorders on the market".
Out in February the series costs between $399 and $599.
They both feature digital image stabilisation, auto-focus, face detection and smart auto, and one touch sharing buttons.
Where the H300 excels is that it has a 3-inch touchscreen, as opposed to a non-touch 2.3-inch LCD on the P100. It also has a 3x optical zoom.
The P100 comes out in February and the H300 a month later. They are priced at $149 and $199.
Finally we have the SMX-F50 range (F50, F53 and F54) with SD card memory storage solutions (0 - 16GB variations).
They have 52x optical zooms, 65x intelli-zooms and a 680K CCD sensor. You'll get 6 hours and 20 minutes of continuous shooting and are capable of producing H.264 high quality formatted videos.
