LG offers trio of new notebooks

The latest announcement from the company is with regards to its new premium notebook line-up, with three new models detailed.
Starting with the top model, the LG A520, this is a 3D machine with Full HD FPR technology on board. "The Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) optimises the separation of images for the left and right eye, which are then filtered through the glasses to give viewers truly outstanding, blur-free 3D images," says the official release.
It has a 15.6 inch, full 1080p display from its LED backlit LCD and packs a Sandy Bridge i7 or i5 CPU. The graphics are taken care of by Nvidia, with the GeForce GT 540M with 2GB of memory the top option.
Sound is courtesy of a SRS Wide 3D sound system and there's also Blu-ray playback, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, and HDMI.
The P420 and the P210 are very similar in looks, except for their screen sizes; 14-inches on the former and 12.5-inches on the latter.
The P420 excels in the hardware department though, with a second-gen i5 chip (as opposed to the original i3 or i5) and you can opt for Nvidia GeForce GT 520M graphics instead of Intel HD ones.
“LG is proud to introduce this exciting new line-up of award winning and innovative notebooks,” said J.J Lee, EVP and head of LG Electronics' PC Business Unit.
“LG P210 recently won an iF (International Forum Design Award) and the P420 displays LG’s unique DNA design. Together with the A520, the 2011 line-up of notebooks provide durable technology with next generation performance capabilities.”
