Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave Bursts on to iOS, Is Impaled on Spike

Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave Bursts on to iOS, Is Impaled on Spike
Dungeon Defenders launched on PC, PSN and Xbox 360 recently, but it's been available on Android for a lot longer, and on iOS for even longer than that. The Android version saw significant enhancements over the iOS title -- so much so that it got the subtitle "Second Wave," as opposed to iOS' "First Wave." Now, the enhanced version has finally hit iPhone and iPad as a free update to existing users, or $2.99 to new players.
The new version includes all the content from First Wave -- itself a game with a considerable amount of content -- plus a new campaign mission and an optional PvP mode, unlockable for an extra $4.99.
The best thing about the new version, though, is that the control scheme has been completely revamped, with the biggest benefits being seen on the small screen of the iPhone and iPod touch. Movement is no longer limited to a virtual analog stick at one side of the screen -- it can now be done anywhere on the screen. Menus have been modified, too -- rather than the screen-cluttering radial menu of the original, icons have been placed to the right side of the screen. Context-sensitive actions have been added now, too, allowing players to repair, upgrade and sell towers simply by tapping them rather than having to go through clunky menus.
Grab Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave for iOS here, or Android here.
