Are you getting lost or overwhelmed with all of the new terms that you need to do really well in Biology?Advantage HSC Biology is a comprehensive study tool to help you learn the definitions of all the terms that you need to know in Biology. It is also a great reference tool that can be referred to continually while you are learning.
Learning the terminology is the most important strategy to understanding the content and maximising your grades. Don’t get left behind.
HSC Biology is a flashcard app that can be used in three modes:
1. Study mode
2. Quiz mode
3. Glossary mode
Study mode uses flashcards that contain the necessary terminology with definitions. A great feature of this mode is that you can mark the cards correct or incorrect as you read them and have the option of returning to the incorrect cards at the end of the set.
Quiz mode gives you a definition and then 4 possible answers to choose from. It will collect the statistics on how many you got right or wrong and provide you with your results at the end of the set. Both Quiz mode and Study mode have the content divided into topic areas.
Glossary mode contains all the terms in the app in alphabetical order so that when you are studying or working in class you can find the definition of a term that you are unsure of.
The topics are specific to the New South Wales HSC syllabus. However, as the same topics in Biology are taught all over Australia and the world the app is useful to anyone studying Biology at high school or in the first years of university.
The topics that are covered include the core topics of:
• Maintaining a Balance (enzymes, homeostasis, molecular biology)
• Blueprint of Life (genetics)
