GetWellNetwork Showcases First Interactive Patient Care Experience on iPad

While the medical industry is embracing the iPad for all its technological glory, from ultrasound machines to endoscopic monitors, patients are in need of some special medical attention as well.

Interactive patient solutions companyGetWellNetwork is releasing the first application of its kind available for the interactive patient care market. This app helps healthcare providers with the resources needed to educate and care for patients, whether in the hospital room or the waiting room.
Nurses, doctors and assistants can take advantage of the mobility of the iPad and better engage with patients in outpatient settings, as well as neonatal intensive care units, the emergency room and more.
In addition to improving patient/caregiver communication, the app will also allow medical administrators to have immediate access to patient data in key operational areas with the most current information.
“We are committed to helping hospitals support their patient populations in managing their health across the continuum of care through the use of multiple devices that enable patients to access the information they need, regardless of where they are,” said Michael O’Neil, president, GetWellNetwork. “The availability of our solution on the iPad is an exciting component of our larger strategy to engage patients at critical care points and to encourage their participation in their own health by providing ubiquitous access to patient engagement tools, the best is ahead.”
