iPad Invades the Bedroom – Now Controls your Bed

A new app that’s able to interact with your bed may have you cuddling up with your iPad at night. Reverie, known for its luxury bedding options, has debuted the Reverie Dream Sleep System, which connects the Reverie app with a Reverie bed.
With the app, your iPad or iPhone essentially acts as any other bed remote control. Using Bluetooth or WiFi, Reverie owners can adjust their beds to their exact specifications.
The Reverie bed has an integrated remote controlled power outlet which can be used for lamps, TVs, and other appliances. The iPad acts as a home automation system and will be able to control these devices as well, to turn them on and off at will. Reverie’s current slumber options begin at $3,999, so its futuristic iPad-controlled beds won’t come cheap.

Reverie’s sleep system has additions like massage and zero gravity, plus variable firmness on both sides of the bed, allowing everyone to get the perfect night’s sleep. Reverie is also displaying two new concept beds at the Reverie Showroom at the 2012 World Market in Las Vegas, with innovative features that could become reality in the not too distant future.
There’s no mention of the iPad-connected bed on Reverie’s website (but there is an app), so it is unclear if this system is already in place for use with Reverie beds, or if it’s something coming in the near future.
