Canon brings Wi-Fi to premium Legria HF M-Series camcorders

Canon brings Wi-Fi to premium Legria HF M-Series camcorders. Cameras, Camcorders, Canon Legria HF M52, Canon Legria HF M56, Canon Legria HF M506, CES2012 0
You could do the easy thing and buy yourself an entry-level camcorder but Canon would like you to at least have a think about going for their enthusiast models in the Canon Legria HF M-Series as announced at CES 2012.
With an HD CMOS Pro sensor, this release of the M-Series is said to have a 20 per cent better performance in low light conditions than predecessors. There's 10x optical zoom, a 7.5-inch swivel touch screen, AVCHD compatibility and some tasty built-in Wi-Fi as well. The idea behind the added connectivity is that you can stream you clips over you home network to any DLNA compatible device as well as straight to anything Apple made via a dedicated iOS app and even up to YouTube and Facebook as well.
There are three models to choose from. The Canon Legria HF M52 comes with 32GB of onboard storage, the M52 with 8GB and the poor old M506 that's SD only and no Wi-Fi at all.
Other than that, they each feature bags of smart scene modes and plenty of creative cinema filters. All will be arriving in April 2012. Prices as yet unknown.
