iPad 3 to mark Apple return to iWorld 2012?

iPad 3 to mark Apple return to iWorld 2012
Apple is set to attend iWorld (formerly Macworld Expo) for the first time since 2009, and will exhibit two new iPads - presumably the iPad 3 and one other - according to supply chain partners.
The sources have informed perennial gossip monger Digitimes that the new models will broaden Apple's range, and demonstrate that it is to attack the low-, mid- and high-end tablet sectors, with the iPad 2 (strangely) becoming the entry level rival to Kindle and other competitors.
Specifications being touted state that both new iPads will stick with 9.7-inch screens, but with improved QXGA resolutions (2048 x 1536 pixels). Sources also claim the dual-LED bars will improve brightness.
And, they will each sport quad-core A6 processors made by Samsung, although Sharp will be the major panel supplier for the displays.
Sources have added that one of the two new devices will come with a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor made by Samsung for rear camera duties, while Sony will be supplying the other with an 8-megapixel sensor.
Battery life on both is claimed to be greater than that of the iPad 2, with Simplo Technology and Dynapack International Technology both securing orders for batteries with capacities of up to 14,000mAh.
Of course, considering Digitimes reputation as being hit and miss on Apple rumours in the past, we're still a little sceptical on its claims - especially that Apple will be returning to iWorld so soon after it withdrew - but we'll soon find out considering the expo starts on 26 January 2012.
What do you think? Any of the above sound feasible? Let us know in the comments below...
