When it launched two and a half years ago, Minigore was touted as the new model for episodic app upgrades. Unfortunately, the updates didn't arrive as often as people would have liked, but now you can get the whole package for free. With its iOS game character cross-overs and adorable Lego-style graphics, Minigore is a survival shooter that any action gamer should own.

Zombie Gunship

It's easy to dehumanize your enemies when you're soaring high above them in a flying fortress, and it's even easier when those enemies are zombies. In Zombie Gunship, you have to target swarms of the undead using night-vision cameras, which provide an eerily realistic effect. We greatly enjoyed this simple shooter when it was a buck, and it's even better now that it's free.
