Angry Birds - coming to a children's playground near you

UK children's playground equipment firm Lappset Group has licensed Rovio's massively popular franchise in order to create slides, swings, sandpits and other kiddy rides. There are even plans to put them altogether in fully Angry Birds-themed activity parks.
There will be 20 different products adorned by imagery of the birds and their evil pig nemeses in all, including an outside arcade game featuring the blighters.
The first parks and play kit will be installed in 2012 in Rovio's home nation of Finland, with the UK soon to follow. And "Mighty Eagle" Peter Vesterbacka is hoping that world domination is soon to follow:
"The activity parks tie in perfectly with the Angry Birds world and our way of thinking," said the Rovio chief.
"We will be developing a service which brings together the digital world and the physical world in a way that’s never been seen before. The popularity of Angry Birds isn’t restricted to any age, sex or social group, and the activity parks will be designed to be interesting places for absolutely everyone, all around the world."
