App Description
Rotate, drag, tap. Quads is a collection of four games. Packed with so much hand-designed graphic symbols that you will probably never see the same game in your life. It does not only look stunningly good, it *is* stunningly good. A game-concept you have seldom seen before, if ever. A very active game for which you need skill, handiness with the iPad itself, concentration and quickness.Four identical symbols form a quad. Quads are distributed over four rotating wheels at the four corners of your iPad (your iPad is divided into four quadrants). Each wheel is visible for only a little more than thirty percent. You have to rotate to find the symbol you need. You select a wheel by tapping it once. Then you drag the symbol of your choice into the central wheel: the rotator (you can also use this rotator to select a wheel in each quadrant). Once the quad in the rotator is complete you go on with the next quad. This is a very active game, the more familiar you get with the engine the faster you finish each game.
There are four different games and for each game we display the time of the last ten games, the time of the fastest and the time of the slowest game. This makes it easy to see if you improve yourself.
Unfortunately we cannot show you what the game really does in the screens shown below. The game is simply too active, too dynamic to catch into a photo. Just try it, you'll love it. This is a beautiful and incredibly dynamic game. Worth each and every penny.
Four games in one app for an amazingly low price. Here is a short description of what each game does:
The Blue Game:
Each quadrant contains a wheel with 24 symbols. It is your job to select a symbol and drag it into the rotator (the middle wheel). You do this by tapping the quadrant (a wheel you can rotate by dragging its outside line) and select an object. Once the first object is placed in the rotator you have to select identical symbols from the other three quadrants and drag them in the rotator (in a black slot). Once all four symbols (the quad) are correctly placed they are disabled and you can drag the next quad into the rotator. There are a lot of tricks to speed the game up, but that is for you to find out yourself.
The Read Game:
The Red Game is basically the same as The Blue Game, except for one detail... The rotator (that wheel at the center of your screen) contains four examples of - again - identical symbols. In short: it displays a quad. It are those symbols that you have to select from each wheel at the corners of your screen (of which you see only a little more than thirty percent) and drag them in the rotator. Where? Well, look at the symbols in the rotator with a thick border. That border is, of course, red.
The Green Game:
The Green Game is a tricky game. It is for those who have already mastered The Blue Game. Actually, it is the same game as The Blue Game except that the quads are not as neatly distributed as they are in the Blue Game. The Green Game is completely randomly composed, which is the reason why it takes a while to construct it. So, one single quad (four identical symbols, remember) can be found in one single wheel, or in two wheels (three in one wheel and one in one wheel, or two in two wheels), or in three wheels or, sometimes, in four wheels. This is a tactical game. Memorize the symbols in each wheel and you'll finish it fast.
The Purple Game:
The most difficult game of Quads. The Purple Game is a mixture between The Green Game and the Red Game. Symbols are, like in The Green Game, distributed randomly over the four wheels and the rotator displays a preselected quad (like in The Red Game). You have to be pretty handy with the wheels, including the rotator, to finish this game in a reasonable time. Speaking about time: that plays no role in this game. Except... when you take too much time you'll find you get no more then one single point. So: rotate, drag and tap at top speed!
