Google doodle celebrates 125th birthday of artist Diego Rivera

Born on 8 December 1886, Rivera died 24 November 1957, aged 71, but not before his large murals graced walls in major Mexican and US cities, including Mexico City, San Francisco, Detroit and New York City. In many ways, his political paintings were the Bansky graffiti art of the time, although he never hid behind anonymity, often being commissioned for them.
The Google doodle is accurate to his style, although the computerised art is possibly less detailed than a true Rivera painting. It's also a far less extravagant offering than the last major one we covered on Pocket-lint; the excellent puzzle game inspired by the novels of sci-fi author Stanistaw Lem.
It would be nice if Google held an exhibition of all of its doodles, even online. Are you listening Mr G?
