Designer tablet-accessory maker M-Edge has just released a new line of military inspired iPad 2 covers. The Recon Jacket and Trench Runner Series are great iPad accessories if you’re after that vintage military look.
The Recon Jacket comes in three military-schemed colors, Black, Olive Drab Green and Tan, and costs $49.99. The iPad 2 is mounted into the jacket with a snap-in mount that slides upward so that users can take advantage of the camera without it having to be removed. There is removable and adjustable triangular Velcro stand that can be attached in any position to allow for use of landscape or portrait mode. There is a large outer pocket that closes with snaps. The outside of the pocket has loop straps for linking D-rings or clipping pens and the jacket’s front includes a Velcro area for military patches and name tapes.

The Trench Runner Series includes a messenger bag, a jacket and a sleeve. The Trench Runner Messenger Bag is a cross body bag with an adjustable shoulder strap. It is big enough to fit an iPad 2 with a case. There are two cell-phone sized outer pockets and two internal pen loops and credit card slots. It comes in German grey and olive drab green and costs $79.99.

The Trench Runner Jacket uses a snap-in mounding system to keep the iPad 2 in place. There are leather straps with brass snaps to securely close the jacket. The folded design allows for three different landscape angles, low, upright and vertical. It comes in olive drab green and German grey and costs $49.99.
