iOS battery issues still present admits Apple
Do you like this story?
In an uncharacteristic move Apple has admitted that the latest iOS 5 update, version 5.0.1, hasn’t actually fixed the iOS 5 battery issue as everyone was hoping it would.
In a statement to AllThingsD Apple has said that it is still working on investigating the issues suggesting that the update was more about bug fixing that it was giving iPhone users longer battery life.
“The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate a few remaining issues,” Apple said in a statement.
That’s likely to come as a blow if you were hoping the latest update was going to give you a battery life that lasts into the night rather than cutting out on the way home.
Many Apple iPhone users are reporting that the update has made zero difference to the battery life of the Apple devices.
Apple issued the software update iOS 5.0.1 on Thursday. Many at the time thought that it was released to fix your iPhone battery woes.
We will keep you posted.
